The
History of The Cache...
The
Cache was first published in February, 1984 by Doris & Gordon
Bordine (then owners of Eagle River Printing) as a means of helping
small local businesses get their products and services into all
the homes of Chugiak, Eagle River, Peters Creek and keeping their
young printing company busy. With
the acquisition in April, 1994 of a newer two color press the
first edition of The Cache to have colored ads debuted. In September,
2002 FREE newsstands were placed at convenient locations
in our community as a means for residents to pick up an extra
copy or two. From it's original one color, 8 page debut in 1984
to it's present full color 56 page plus edition, The Cache has
become a staple in local area mailboxes and the place to be if
you need to advertise your product or services.
