AD PREPARATION GUIDELINES
You've done a great job to make your ad look as professional as possible. Before you send it to us, here is some basic information about file formats, photos, graphics, and general layout issues that may help you.
Accepted Files
Camera Ready ads are PDF files made with PRESS settings or EPS files with all fonts converted to curves, that require no changes or alterations to be printed in The Valley Cache. Accepted program files are Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Publisher and Word files can be accepted if placed art work is of print quality resolution, but will not be considered camera ready. All color ad files need to use CMYK and all art work should be no less than 200 dpi. When submitting an ad in any other format than PDF, all fonts and placed graphics are required with the file.
Photos
For best results all photos should be 300 dots per inch when placed. The image should be taken or scanned at the resolution needed. Increasing the resolution in Photoshop will not increase the quality of the photo for printing.
Line Art
For best results all line art should have an effective resolution of 1200 dots per inch.
